Dr. William Ferguson

Dr. William Ferguson DAOM, LAc, Dipl. OM, MTOM, graduated from Emperor’s College in Santa Monica, California, where he also completed his doctoral studies. He is licensed in both California and Colorado and specializes in Internal and Physical Medicine. As an undergraduate, he studied Philosophy at the University of New Orleans. Dr. Ferguson is a first-generation U.S. citizen, his grandfather – another Dr. Ferguson – immigrated from Scotland to work at Western State Hospital in Staunton, Virginia.

Dr. Ferguson is a firm believer in the ability of the body to heal itself not only through acupuncture, herbal medicine, and Traditional Chinese Medicine, but through proper diet, exercise, and the invocation of the will. As a life-long meditator, he has deep experience with the health benefits imparted by a calm spirit. His acupuncture style is definitively Japanese and he is known for his exceptionally gentle technique.

Outside of acupuncture, Dr. Ferguson has spent 15 years studying traditional Japanese martial arts and currently holds the rank of San Dan (3rd-degree black belt) and Shidoshi-ho (assistant instructor) in the Bujinkan. He enjoys languages and speaks Japanese, French, and Spanish, though he will be the first to tell you that there is always room for improvement in those areas.
